The Old Bothy is a luxury detached self catering holiday cottage for two adults in the grounds of a 17th century Grade II listed house. The compact single storey stone cottage was fully renovated in 2009, and is furnished to a very high standard and provides everything you might need during your holiday. Ideal for romantic breaks. 

 

It is situated in a very quiet conservation area of the 11th Century village of Halford, which contains many Grade II listed houses. The Halford Bridge hotel and restaurant (originally an old coaching inn) is a few minutes walk away, as is the local garage, which carries a good range of provisions. The beautiful 11th century Saxon Village Church, is even closer.

The location of Halford makes an ideal starting point. Halford itself is situated on the Fosse Way (A429), at the northern end of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) and 14 miles from Warwick with its famous Warwick Castle. The old market town of Shipston on Stour is a few minutes drive away and contains many shops, pubs and restaurants

 

Nearby attractions include Hidcote Gardens (6 miles), the Cotswold towns of Morton in the Marsh (9 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (14 miles) and Chipping Campden (10 miles). Blenheim Palace (the birthplace of Winston Churchill) and the larger towns and cities of Oxford, Worcester and Cheltenham are all within an easy drive of approximately an hour. There are several notable National Trust properties nearby.
